Growing up in a family that prized creativity, original thought, and a good bedtime story, I developed a strong appreciation for words and pictures. Everyday experiences, such as childhood dance classes, working in the garden with my mother, and cooking dinner with my sister, have provided inspiration for the words and pictures that fill my sketchbooks.
Studying graphic design in college, I developed an understanding of the interplay between text and imagery and continued to work with my hands to gain a printmaking minor.
Today, I enjoy combining both digital and artisanal practices. My work is informed by experiences abroad as well as an enduring appreciation of the natural world.
